As this production part of our journey comes to an end, reaching towards our campaign to launch and promote Lyrically Justified 3, it's been complimentary having enthusiastic interns journey with us, if only for a few weeks. "Having at Harbourside Festival Poetry Tent  selling the 2nd volume of Lyrically Justified, and been reading it, it hit me that these people don’t fear expressing their own thoughts, experiences and ideas." The poetry talks about bias, racis, discrimination, love, and pride..." Sofia Casato

UNEARTHED was new territory, where Kev the Poet poeticised via his blend of upbeat tunes and slick rhymes.  Nell, Angharad & //Kabbo also performed, using movement and poetic storey telling, with Mizirie and Kalila adding to the mix.

Yes indeed, we may be running late but we've been busy beavers preparing to unleash the 3rd anthology, with appearances contributors at Arnofini (Untold Stories), where we experienced profound and moving documentary Defiant Lives, with Rowan James and care provider poet Anndeloris Chacon.
At Harbourside Festival (our 3rd year involved) Lawrence Hoo and Tanya Muneera represented, two of the most powerful and plentiful performers in the UK right now.

We just wanted to share appreciation of the Urban Word Collective, who co-hosted the 'Untold Stories of Disability Activism' event at Arnolfini, late July 2019.

As far as we know, Bristol has never a witnessed an event like this: Aiming to bring together diverse peoples to explore untold stories, make connections and begin new conversations about disability, austerity, mental health, migration and climate crisis. We tried to be as open and honest as possible, acknowledging we all have much to learn.

It can be (and was) both enlightening and difficult to share and explore the histories, ideas and experiences that can be left out of 'the story of Bristol'. Being creative with words, art, music & film is an essential part of this expression .

So a big thanks to Urban Word Collective - Shaun Clarke, Annedelois Chacon and Rowan James. To George Ayres, Tanvir Bush, Liz Crow, Raquel Meseguer, Ruth Pickersgill, Mark Williams and Rebecca Yeo. To Val and Arkbound.
And thanks for support from Cafe Des Amies, Uni of Bristol and Uni of Bath.

Part two... ?!

As we journey we also co-exist as Artivists, Poets, and writers capable of affecting insistent and at times counter productive narratives.
